Another senior employee has left her job at City Hall, ThoroldToday has learned.

Denise Landry, Thorold’s longtime manager of planning, is now employed by the City of Port Colborne, where she is working in the same capacity.

Her departure comes just one month after deputy clerk Joanne Hyde left her post at Thorold City Hall.

Without Landry, the Thorold planning department is left with only two employees and no current leadership—leaving some Thorold residents worried about the state of their ongoing zoning applications.

When reached for comment, City Hall released the following statement:

“We currently have an acting director overseeing the Planning & Development Services Department at this time. In the interim the City is actively recruiting to fulfill existing vacancies. Overall, the City will continue to fulfill its obligations to the community.”

If you know a city planner looking for work, here is the application. The salary range for the position is between $125,065 and $144,778 and includes a comprehensive benefits package. At least 10 years of experience in senior management is preferred.
