'Person Weigher' ad appears in Thorold Post

An ad that ran in the Thorold Post in 1924 featured its new scale, which still functions at Henderson's Pharmacy. The Henderson family has owned the store since 1939.

For more than 95 years now, the famed Toledo Scale at Henderson's Pharmacy has provided patrons with their accurate weights.

This is a copy of the ad that ran when it was installed:

GET WEIGHED

Macartney's Drug Store, "The Rexall Store", has installed a handsome Toledo Scale known as "The Person Weigher"' being placed just inside their shop doors, and it is for the convenience of the public. Its use is FREE, there being no strings to its use, no purchases necessary, etc.

These Scales are one of the best manufactured in the world, "Absolutely correct" in mechanical construction, and accurate in results.

These scales, we understand, were put in at considerable expense, and Macartney's Drug Store hopes the public will appreciate an make generous use of them. Remember, it is "FREE WEIGHING". 8/28
