A local high school marching band will be performing in a star-packed 2020 edition of the Toronto Santa Claus Parade this Saturday.
But this year, the grand event will look different to adhere to the pandemic guidelines.
EL Crossley's Marching Band from Fonthill will be spreading the holiday cheer alongside iconic artists like Dolly Parton, Kelly Clarkson, Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor in a two-hour virtual parade, that will air on CTV, starting at 7 PM.
The performance was pre-taped under health- and safety protocols, and will air as part of the broadcast, where 7 other marching bands will be featured, DSBN said in a statement.
CTV has stated that the parade portion of the broadcast was taped at a closed-off strip at Canada's Wonderland without spectators.
It is normally aired live-to-tape.
