Bocchinfuso Funeral Home was built as a funeral home in 1972. Formerly the Lamb Funeral Home, operated by Bill Lamb, we are conveniently located in downtown Thorold. Purchased in 2015 by husband and wife team, Rick Westlake and Kelly Liddycoat, the Bocchinfuso Funeral Home has been Thorold’s premier family-run funeral home for more than 40 years.
Rick and Kelly have years of professional experience to facilitate any burial, entombment or cremation requirement. Although their in-house chapel can accommodate up to 175 people for funeral, memorial or non-denominational services, they can also arrange funerals offsite -- from small graveside services to large funeral services at any of the numerous places of worship or other locations in Thorold and surrounding area. As part of our service, Rick and Kelly will help plan receptions at the location of your choice.
Bocchinfuso Funeral Home also offers many unique funeral products for our families. Custom-made 3D printed urns, designed and manufactured through EtURNal Memorials, can be produced in the shape of items that were meaningful to your loved one. We also offer a variety of personalized options, everything from custom, locally-made urns to memorial keepsakes.
Rick and Kelly pride themselves on their experience and professional standing in the industry. Rick received his business diploma from Fleming College in Peterborough and his funeral services diploma from Humber College in Toronto. After attaining her Hairdressing and Cosmetology license, and working at funeral homes for several years, Kelly also attained her funeral director’s license through Humber College.
Always looking to support their community, Rick and Kelly have become deeply involved with several local organizations. Rick has been a dedicated Kiwanian since 1992, serving as President of four different clubs, and is now chair of the Music Festival for the Kiwanis Club of St. Catharines and now serves as Lieutenant Governor for the Golden Horseshoe Division 6 which serves seven different communities. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Community Service in 2012. Kelly is a second-generation Funeral Director and eighth generation of the Liddycoat family that has called Thorold home. Kelly is dedicated to serving in her community, as shown by her commitment while serving as a member of the Board of Managers with St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Chair of the Board with Thorold Community Activities Group, and as a member of the Niagara Area Business Women's Network.
They also support several community programs including golf tournaments, church events and sports teams as well as special initiatives like Prom Project for The Education Foundation of Niagara, among many others. Bocchinfuso Funeral Home is also pleased to showcase your organization by helping promote your events on their Community Board in their front foyer.
It’s all part of their commitment to lending a hand where it’s needed most.
