On Nov. 15, 2022, 8 District - Grimsby uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service were dispatched to a theft incident in Lincoln.

Officers attended Rockway Glen Estate Golf Course/Winery located at 3290 Ninth St. in the Town of Lincoln. The initial investigation determined that 44 golf carts had been stolen from the property by unknown suspect(s) between Nov. 14, 2022 after 11 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 6 a.m.

The stolen golf carts are white 2020 EZGO Tempo Golf Carts (two seats) with stock rims/tires, beige seats, individually valued at $10,000 CDN.

Suspect(s) are believed to have driven each of the stolen carts 2 km across the course, cut a fence, and onto a vineyard service road where a transport vehicle(s) was believed to be waiting in the area of Ellis Avenue and Eleventh Street.

8 District detectives have been assigned to the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009935.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between Nov. 14, 2022 after 11 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 6 a.m.
