49 cases of COVID-19 in Niagara today - one patient dies at Niagara Health

NRPH reported the lowest number of daily cases since late March on Wednesday after 49 cases were detected. Following just under 150 recoveries, the number of active cases in Niagara is now 1,565.

The death toll from the pandemic was adjusted again on Wednesday, as a patient who was being treated by Niagara Health passed away. 57 are still being treated in hospital.

The official death toll is now 398.

Ontario reported just over 2,300 cases today and saw a drop in the positivity rate. The same number was 3,432 a week ago.
