Alectra Inc. released its 2019 Annual Sustainability Report highlighting the company's commitment to social responsibility, environmental accountability and economic efficiency.

The 2019 report, entitled "Discovering the Possibilities", details company initiatives which contributed to Alectra's success during the year. Alectra built on its sustainability commitments, delivering impressive results for its customers, shareholders and communities - while remaining a trusted ally in the rapidly changing world of energy.

Some 2019 highlights for Alectra include:

  • Improving the customer satisfaction rate to 93 per cent
  • The opening of our innovation hub, the Green Energy & Technology (GRE&T) Centre
  • Contributing over $1 million to local charities and not-for-profit organizations
  • Decreasing greenhouse gas emissions by 19 per cent compared to the 2016 baseline
  • Investing $338 million in infrastructure projects to enhance system reliability
