Get ready for a summer filled with sunshine, smiles, and new experiences. Bethesda Children and Youth Services is excited to announce the launch of its Summer is Brighter at Bethesda campaign, offering a wider range of inclusive summer camps and engaging family events designed to empower children and youth registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) or Children’s Behaviour Services at Bethesda.

“At Bethesda, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and enriching environment,” says Alyson Wilson, Director, Bethesda Children and Youth Services. “Our expanded summer programs are designed to inspire creativity, build social skills, and make lasting memories. We invite families to join our Bethesda community – a place where children and youth are encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential.”

Here's a glimpse of some of the exciting programs offered this summer:

  • Summer Social camps: Designed for children up to 12 years old, these camps provide a fun and supportive environment for creative exploration, friendship building, and unforgettable summer fun. With various age ranges and dates available, there's a perfect camp for every child!
  • Teen Groups: Geared towards fostering independence and social connections, our inclusive teen groups like Teen Lounge and Zap Zone laser tag offer a safe space for teens to be themselves and make new friends.
  • Family Events: The whole family is invited to join the fun at our engaging community events! These events include Therapy Tails drop-in sessions, family swims, a heart-thumping drum circle, and a heartwarming visit to Happy Rolph's Animal Farm.
  • Everyone who signs up for a summer group, camp or family event through Bethesda’s website will be entered into a draw for a Bethesda Swag Prize Pack – draw will take place at the end of summer.
