Comic Con fan fest, Horror Festival to kick off in Niagara Falls in October

Two major entertainment events returns in time for the spooky season

Comic Con Fan fest and Frightmare in the Falls will kick off in October.

The last wekeend of October will be a busy one for local fiction fans as two major conventions kick off in Niagara Falls, satisfying cravings for both enhusiasts of superhero movies, anime and horror.

Niagara Falls Comic Con announced it will be hosting the annual Fan Fest at the Scotiabank Convention Centre on October 29 and 30.

Although smaller in size compared to previous years over Covid-regulations, visitors will recognize cosplayers, vendors and celebrity appearances on the schedule.

Niagara Falls Comic Con listed Shane Kippel and Linda Ballantyne, voice actor with popular 90’s Japanese cartoon Sailor Moon, on its event poster, along with

Derek McGrath, Phil Gurrero and Tanner Zipchen.

The event will only have 1,000 tickets available and ticketholders are required to be double vaccinated.

While comic fans mingle at the Scotiabank Centre, the building will also be hosting Frightmare in The Falls, which describes itself as the ‘most intimate and interactive Horror Festival in North America.

The event will feature more than 50,000 square feet of all things horror including memorabilia, panels, celebrities, movies, autographs, displays, movie cars, cosplay, special effects props and more.
