With the 2021 school start only weeks away, DSBN released its official guide on what everyday life in hallways and classrooms will look like on Monday.
“We understand that the start of a new school year brings excitement and questions,” DSBN said in a statement.
“Please review this information with your child(ren) to set them up for a successful start to the 2021/2022 school year. As well, in the upcoming days supportive mental health resources will be available for parents and students.”
The first day of classes will be September 7. Students can either opt for in-person or at-home learning.
Some highlights from the guide:
- Extra-curriculars will be running with additional health and safety measures and/or modifications as required.
- Entry and exit to schools will be staggered to support physical distancing throughout the day
- Individual schools will communicate lunch time plans
- Schools may schedule staggered lunches to accommodate students safely
