Winter storm warning in effect for:
- St. Catharines - Grimsby - Northern Niagara Region
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
Snowfall with total amounts of 25 to 30 cm is expected.
Light snow will move into the region early this morning and becomes heavy at times this afternoon and evening. Gusty northeast winds off of Lake Ontario combined with higher terrain of the Niagara escarpment will lead to snowfall enhancement locally from near Hamilton eastward across northern Niagara. These areas could see total snowfall amounts of 25 to 30 cm by early Tuesday morning.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Significant snowfall today into tonight.
Light snow will move into the region early this morning and become heavy at times this afternoon and continue tonight. Snowfall amounts of 15 cm are likely by tonight.
Travel will be impacted today due to accumulating snow as well as locally reduced visibility in snow.
This snowfall is due to a developing low pressure system which will track south of the lower Great Lakes on today.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
