Hayley Crowther of Welland can “find her possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 second prize worth $62,643.10 in the October 25, 2023 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

Hayley, a regular lottery player for over a decade, said her favourite games are LOTTO 6/49, LOTTO MAX and THE BIG SPIN. This is her first big win.

“I used the ticket checker at the store and at first, I thought it said $62. When I took a closer look and saw it actually said $62,000, I was shocked. My heart started racing and my hands were shaking,” she said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I didn’t think it was real, so I picked up my friend to be a second set of eyes, and we went to another store to see if the same message would come up.”

Hayley said they celebrated in the store together. “It’s amazing. It’s always been my life’s aspiration to win the lottery,” she laughed.

She plans to take a vacation, have a great Christmas and invest the rest for the future.

LOTTO 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same $3 per play.

The Classic Draw offers a fixed $5 million jackpot for every draw, while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1 million prize, or the growing jackpot that starts at $10 million and can exceed $60 million. Click here for more information about the new LOTTO 6/49.

The winning ticket was purchased at Ben’s Variety on Southworth Street in Welland.
