The 9 EA’s have filled boxes wrapped as Christmas gifts to their local food bank.

From Dec. 1 to Dec. 20, the team of EA’s brings in one specified food item a day; for example, on Day 1 - box cereal, Day 2 - canned soup, Day 3 - Kraft Dinner, Day 4 - granola bars, and so on.

According to Educational Assistant and long- time Thorold resident, Joe Timmons, “The best part of Christmas is giving stuff away!”

The EA’s welcome community and staff donations during the food drive, which can be dropped off at Thorold Secondary School's main office. EA Jenny Schultz knows that  “every little bit helps families at Christmas and New Year”.

At the conclusion of the food drive the team of EA’s hopes to have nine gift boxes of food, with 20 items in each.
