Dr. Karen Schiff, Regional Supervising Coroner for West Region, Hamilton Office, announced today that a new date will be scheduled for the inquest into the death of Jordan Case.
Mr. Case, 22 years old, died at the Niagara Detention Centre on Dec. 1, 2018. An inquest into his death is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Case’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.
Further details regarding the inquest, including the date and venue, will be provided at a later date.
