New fire hall on McCleary Drive nears completion

Manorcore Construction is in charge of executing the $11M project, which is expected to be completed by the summer

What a difference 9 months can make! Construction of the new fire hall at McCleary Drive is almost complete.

On Thursday morning, workers could be seen working on the roofing of the station's turret. Recently, the fire station signs went up as well.

The new fire station comes with three truck bays, proper office space and living quarters for career staff, and individual lockers and a group physical fitness area for all firefighters.

Manorcore Construction is in charge of executing the $11,028,700 (plus HST) project, which is expected to be completed by the summer.

Once the firefighters have moved into the new fire hall, the Thorold Museum will be turning Fire Station 1 into their permanent home.
