Safia Durrani of Niagara Falls is celebrating after winning a $50,000 top prize with Instant Crossword (Game #3235).
Durrani says this is her first big win. "Crossword is my favourite," she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
The great-grandmother says she thought she won $25,000 at first, and she woke up her husband to share the news. "I went to the store to check it, and that's when I noticed I actually won $50,000. I started dancing in the store. I was so excited!"
Durrani says she is very happy about her big win. "It's my 50th anniversary with my husband, and I won $50,000 – this is so meaningful," she smiled. "We will be investing this money."
Instant Crossword is available for $3 a play, and the top prize is $50,000. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.91.
