Wendy's and Niagara police are partnering on the sixth annual Summer Safety Campaign.

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is proud to partner with Wendy’s restaurants across Niagara for the sixth annual Summer Safety Campaign.

The campaign is unique to Niagara and started locally in partnership with our Niagara Wendy's owners. Niagara Wendy's have provided NRPS officers across Niagara with frosty coupons.  Officers can use these coupons to acknowledge safe summer behaviour (e.g., wearing a safety helmet or life jacket).  This initiative also seeks to create positive opportunities for Niagara’s youth to interact with NRPS officers.

This year’s campaign will include a kickoff event on Tuesday July 9 at 11 a.m. Community members are invited to attend one of three Wendy’s locations and meet with NRPS officers in attendance during our Summer Safety Giveaway.

Our Niagara Wendy’s have provided 500 bicycle safety helmets that will be divided between all three locations.  Children (ages 1 – 13) attending one of the three locations will receive a free bicycle helmet compliments of Wendy's, while supplies last. Children must be in attendance to receive a helmet.

Locations:

  • 165 Garrison Road, Fort Erie
  • 8279 Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls
  • 124 Hwy 20 East, Pelham

There will be free Frosty treats for all children who attend. Frosty coupons awarded by officers throughout the summer are redeemable at any Wendy’s location across Niagara.
