The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation informed ThoroldNews that there will be a road closure along the Welland Canal Parkway this Thursday.
The closure is necessary in order to move some taintor valves from the locks to a shop.
The Welland Canals Parkway will be closed this Thursday Jan. 17, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Glendale Avenue and Chapel Street (Lock 7). Trade-Mark Industrial are organizing the road closure to load-on and transport Valves from Lock 4 West.
Access to the West flight locks and Lock 7 will not be possible from Glendale Ave. Locks 7, 6W and 5W will remain accessible to Seaway personnel and contractors only northbound via Chapel St.
