Weather advisory issued for:

   Niagara, Ont. (046700)

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect for late tonight through Thursday.

What:
Icy and slippery conditions beginning early Thursday morning as temperatures rapidly fall below the freezing mark.
Westerly to northwesterly winds gusting up to 80 km/h.
Reduced visibility in snow and local blowing snow.
Snowfall amounts of 2 cm.

When:
Early Thursday morning through late Thursday afternoon.

Additional information:
Over exposed areas, reduced visibility due to local blowing snow could persist into Thursday evening.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
