Sunny skies for Santa as Old St. Nick drops in on Fenwick

Fire trucks, floats and even the Grinch make appearance as part of annual Santa Claus Parade

Old St. Nick himself couldn’t have ordered up better weather for the Pelham Santa Claus Parade. While temperatures were brisk, the skies were blue, and the sun was out as crowds lined the streets of downtown Fenwick to welcome the jolly old elf to Pelham.

While spectators kept warm with free hot chocolate, they were enthralled by fire trucks, floats and even the Grinch, who had been apprehended by the Niagara Regional Police.

But the biggest bit of excitement was saved to the very end, when Santa Claus made an appearance, list in hand and checking off who was naughty or nice.

The parade, organized by the Fabulous Fenwick Lions, is one of the signature events in the annual Christmas in Pelham activities put together by town staff and volunteers.
