A Christmas lights display on Albert Street West.

It’s that time of year to show off your Christmas lights. City Hall is once again putting on a Festival of Lights competition.

"Take an evening drive to experience all of the festive decorations residents and businesses have to offer in Thorold," writes City Hall on Facebook

Residents are asked to snap pictures (jpeg or png format) of the most beautiful Christmas lights displays, and to mail them to [email protected].

The winner will receive a chance to win a prize, a City of Thorold certificate and a photo opportunity with Mayor Terry Ugulini.

The deadline for the competition is Boxing Day, December 26th. An honourable mention will be given to a local business and the city will highlight a residential winner separately.

For more information, go to the city’s website.

“This is a friendly competition between neighbours for bragging rights,” writes City Hall. “Don’t miss out on the fun in Thorold this holiday season.”
