Thorold Knights of Columbus to hold Harvest Fest in September

The Knights of Columbus are currently looking for vendors for the free two-day event, which will see local artisans and farmers sell their products at the Holy Rosary Hall

It's only July, but the Thorold Knights of Columbus 2319 are already hard at work on putting together a brand new event at the Holy Rosary Hall in September: Harvest Fest.

Designed to celebrate Niagara’s rural heritage, Harvest Fest will welcome local farmers to sell their in-season vegetables, fruits, flowers, and plants for people to buy.

The Knights are currently looking for applications to fill up the vendor booths at the Holy Rosary Hall.

“We are looking for vendors to meet shoppers coming to browse dozens of booths offering unique handmade items including arts and crafts created by local artisans, as well as locally grown fruits and vegetables from farmers,” said the event chair, Tim O’Brien, in a press statement.

One of the exhibitors who has already confirmed their presence at Harvest Fest is Niagara Beeway, who will offer tips on planting for pollinators.

Fall fertilizer, grass seed, compost and other lawn and gardening products will be sold by the Knights at the event.

The Knights of Columbus are also looking for food vendors so that visitors can enjoy some local delicacies in celebration of the harvest.

Non-perishable food items will be collected to support the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, and there will also be a charitable bottle drive.

Harvest Fest will take place at the Holy Rosary Hall on Saturday, September 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
