The Thorold Public Library is finally ready to unveil their proposed expansion plan of the library building.

The plan, which has been in the works for over a year, has the goal of expanding the library space to better accommodate the continuing growth of its member base.

A 2020 feasibility study concluded that the Thorold Public Library is the second most frequently used municipal facility in Thorold and with the booming projected growth of the local population it was deemed necessary for the library facility to be expanded. Now, a year later, a draft of this expansion plan has finally been completed.

The library will be hosting a virtual information session on Monday, October 18 at 6:00pm, where the plan will be presented and feedback from the community will be sought.

If you want to have your voice heard send an email to [email protected]  to receive a Zoom link for the meeting. If you are unable to attend, the meeting will be recorded for future viewing.
