Excitement is building, as the Thorold Vagabond Theatre has finally announced their return to the stage after a long hiatus.
The group is planning three shows in April, when they will be taking over the Port Robinson Community Centre with their performance of David Ives’ ‘All in the Timing.’
As ThoroldToday reported, the Thorold Community Theatre is moving forward with a new name and under new leadership. Longtime member Daniel Willis has taken on the role as the company’s director and he’s charting a new course for the group.
“The spring show will not be a two-act, 95-minute stage production of a farce, which is what we would normally do,” Willis recently told ThoroldToday. “I'm planning on a night of one acts. It is a reduced ambition to help us bootstrap ourselves to a November show.”
And that spring show is now coming to fruition with three performances in Port Robinson
“Get ready for an unforgettable evening of wit, wordplay, and laughter,” writes Thorold Theatre, on their website. “This collection of brilliantly crafted one-act plays is packed with sharp humour and clever twists that will keep you entertained from start to finish.”
The theatre group has scheduled performances on Friday, April 25, Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27.
Tickets are $24.50 and can be purchased on the group’s website.
