Hazards:
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 5 to 10 cm.
Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour.
Timing:
Thursday.
Discussion:
A band of lake effect snow is forecast to move northward to reach the area by early Thursday morning. The lake effect snow will continue through Thursday morning before moving of the area from west to east Thursday afternoon.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
