After living courageously with cancer for 2 years, Dennis passed away peacefully at home, with his wife at his side, on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the age of 76. Beloved husband and soulmate of Arlene (nee Leith) since 1974, dear brother-in-law to John and Lise Leith, Lil Malkovsky and her late husband Peter; uncle to Shannon and Bill Ronald, Eric and Kim Leith, Jordan Leith; great uncle to Hayden, Tyler, Devin, Lexi, Levi and Henley.

Dennis was a calm, kind and caring person, who loved his wife, family (including pets), friends and neighbours.  He was an amazing husband, very patient, easy-going, funny and soft-spoken, always willing to lend a hand to a friend or stranger in need. He was the best dog-Dad ever.

A handyman, inventor, sci-fi fan and lame-joke teller Dennis enjoyed his career as an Industrial Millwright and worked at a number of places in the Niagara Region from 1977-2017, incl. Altec Automotive Castings in St. Catharines and Edscha Canada in Niagara Falls.

Dennis loved living in the Niagara Peninsula and never tired of exploring all the amazing trails with his wife and dogs and attending the many seasonal events around the area, from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. Canal Days in Port Colborne was always a favourite way to celebrate his birthday.

We are forever grateful to the Oncologists and support staff from the NHS-Walker Family Cancer Centre and his Palliative Care Team.  In honouring Dennis’ wishes private family arrangements have taken place.  If desired donations may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation in his memory.  https://donate.mytributegift.org/?cid=cc24cabaa24700b3dcd592450edb5e4173cffa620616e813675ec8e25a378df0&fh=FRP-308918&fp=3089186b5c6c0632d102cc0b9fbb841d8e
