It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brenda Buckmaster who passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025 surrounded by family. Brenda is predeceased by her soul mate and loving husband of 65 years, Peter. Caring mother of Chris (Mary Rose), Barry (Cassandra), and Tyler (Lesley). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Crystal (Chuck), Kassandra (Rob), Tabatha, Brad, Bailee (David), Benjamin, Christopher, Aaron, Bethany (Travis) and her many great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Brenda raised her three boys, while working in many capacities all around Thorold. Once they were grown, she spent her time volunteering – with the TAAA, mending socks for hockey teams, serving at the canteen at the ball diamond and the arena. She worked as a crossing guard for many years, and also opened her home to children, doing before and after school care for students in the region. She leaves behind years of cherished memories in the town of Thorold where she spent most of her life. Brenda knew many people in the town and always had time for conversations. Brenda shared Peter's enjoyment of music and could be seen tapping her toes and singing along at the shows they attended together. Brenda will always be remembered for the stories she shared her memories of years past. Although, the passing of Brenda leaves us with sorrow, her legacy endures through her generosity, compassion, and the immense impact she had on her community.
Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to the Thorold Amateur Athletic Association, which may be left, along with online condolences may be left at www.Bocchinfusofh.com.
Brenda's family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at Tabour Manor for their kindness and compassion during her stay there.
