It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Nonna and Bisnonna on Thursday, April 21, 2021 surrounded by love and her children. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe "Joseph" (1977), son Michele, her sister Carolina Totta and brothers Antonio and Francesco Perna. She is survived by her children Phyllis and Ken Edwardson, Angela and the late Ron McDermott and Michael and Leslie Cugino. Nonna is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher McDermott, Andrew McDermott, Brian Edwardson, Sarah Cugino, Emily Cugino, Joseph Cugino and great grandchildren Dylana, Desmond and Emma. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Giovanna Garofalo and Giuseppina Giufredi, her sister-in-law Raffaela Perna and cherished by her many nieces and nephews. Mom was a selfless woman who had great unconditional love for her family and friends. She loved gathering us for family dinners and celebrations over feasts of pasta and other home-made dishes. Nancy will be fondly remembered by many for her creative nature as a seamstress in Thorold. She was well-known in town for her impeccable dress design, sewing numerous wedding dresses and graduation gowns. Mom was a woman of great faith who volunteered with the Sisters of Holy Rosary Church. She will be greatly missed and cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Radiant Care, Tabor Manor for their great care and kindness. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bocchinfuso Funeral Home.
