DI FRUSCIA, Domenico, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday April 17th, 2021.
Domenico Di Fruscia of Thorold in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Angelamaria (Maria) Marandola for 59 years. Cherished father of Aurora, Tony (Sheri), Diana, Rosie (Jamie) Warner. Much loved Nonno of Angela Di Fruscia, Charlie and Frances Warner. Beloved brother of Concetta (the late Gaetano Marandola), Carmine (the late Anna), Maria (the late Giuseppe Marcone). Predeceased by his siblings Mario (the late Maria Carmela), Carmela (the late Achille Ciaraldi), Giovanni (the late Margarita) and Rocco Di Fruscia. Predeceased by his loving parents Rosa and Antonio, his nephew Tony Ciaraldi and his niece Rosa Marcone. Cherished brother-in-law of Francesco (Civita), Raffaele (Elba), Antonio (Maria) and Giuseppe (Agnes) Marandola. Zio Mingo will be missed by his many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and France, whom he loved dearly. Domenico was born in Rocca D'Evandro, Italy and moved to Thorold in 1953. He built a beautiful life for himself and his family.
Domenico was employed at the Paper Mill for 37 years and he also ran a small concrete business prior to enjoying a long retirement. He loved spending his winters in Florida with his family and the wonderful friends he met there. In his spare time, he perfected his gardening and winemaking skills and shared his knowledge and talents with those he loved. He will be remembered for his calm, kind demeanor and his ability to make everyone happy. He quietly taught us so much and when needed was there to give invaluable advice and support. His greatest joy was having his family, especially his grandchildren, around the table for a wonderful meal and a glass of wine.
A very special thank you to Dr. Child for his guidance and support during this difficult time. Thank you to Henderson's Pharmacy, St. Elizabeth Health Care and Care Partners.
