JACKSON, David Gordon

1932 -2024

Passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 on his 92nd birthday.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Jane (2023), his daughter Deborah (2004), son David (1980) and brother Herb (1971). Cherished grandfather of Rachel Jane and Great Grandfather of Lily, Dexter and Alexander.

Gord spent many years as the Owner / Broker of Coldwell Banker, and fully immersed himself into serving his community. He spent time as President of the Burlington Jaycees, Kinsmen Club of Fonthill, and Welland Curling Club. He was a previous board member of Shaver Hospital & Lookout Village, coached minor hockey, minor ball and special olympics curling. He chaired 5 house lotteries which raised over $1 million for charity, and the list goes on. He was a true leader, mentor and humble changemaker who leaves behind many touched lives.

His favourite hobbies were golfing, music and gardening and he became a self taught photographer well into his eighties. He was goal oriented right to the end.

In keeping with Gord's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will gather for a private interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens on a later date. A celebration of Gord's life will take place on Sunday September 15th at the old Pelham Town Hall 491 Canboro Rd. W Fenwick. Guests are invited to drop in between 2:00-5:00 p.m. Casual dress please.
