After a lengthy illness, on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 82 years of age. He will be missed by his beloved wife, Kathleen (nee Walsh) of 54 years. He will be remembered as a Great Dad to his daughters, Leslie and Jackie (Rob) Carey. He was a brother to Kevin (Kath), Larry (Judy) and Pat (late Connie). Predeceased by his sister Barb McCormick. Don retired from GM in 1990 after 22 years of service. He loved assisting others in anyway possible. Don enjoyed time spent with the horses in ever way possible and teaching his daughters all about caring of the horses and working on the farm. He thoroughly enjoyed attending horse shows and watching his daughters compete. Time spent fishing and being up north were also high on his list of good times.
In honouring Don’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held from 12-4 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the farm.
