Pete was born in Toronto and in his formative years lived in Digby Nova Scotia, and Owen Sound before moving to St. Catharines. In his teenage years he worked on the Welland Canal & on the lakers, before beginning his employment at General Motors. Pete worked in the Foundry as an Iron Pourer, became a committeeman for the Union, and eventually served as the CAW Chairperson. He enjoyed 25 years of retirement starting in the year 2000.

Pete had many talents, including his passion for art & photography. He loved outdoor adventures like dog sledding, kayaking, canoeing, boating, & motorcycling, Over the years, he had dreams of living up north in the bush, but his family’s needs came first. He was an amazing dad, a very supportive husband, and a loving grandfather. To say he was eager to help others is definitely an understatement - he was always there and will be missed immensely.

In honouring Pete’s wishes private family arrangements have taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date. Over the years, Pete owned many Alaskan Malamutes and supported the Alaskan Malamute Help League. Should you wish, donations can be made to the Help League in his memory.  Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial
