Ontario reports 535 new cases of COVID-19, two more deaths

Ontario is reporting 535 new cases of COVID-19 and two new deaths from the virus today.

Of the new cases, 388 of the infected people are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.  

Health Minister Christine Elliott says 147 of the cases are in fully vaccinated people. 

There are 153 people in intensive care units due to COVID-19 and 14 of them are fully vaccinated. 

The province notes that not all hospitals report COVID-19 data on weekends. 

Provincial data shows 87 per cent of eligible Ontarians have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 82 per cent have both doses.
