At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers were called to a home in the area of Stamford Green Drive and Dorchester Road in the city of Niagara Falls following the report of a residential break in involving a potential firearm. The male suspect fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade SUV prior to police arrival. The male occupant of the home was not seriously injured.

Further investigation led to the discovery of the suspect vehicle was subsequently located in the area of the Niagara on the Lake campus of Niagara College.

Niagara College Security was contacted and initiated a lockdown of the campus while officers investigated and searched for the suspect to ensure the safety of the students. At this time a male suspect remains outstanding.

He is described as a darker-skinned adult male wearing black clothing.

This incident remains under investigation by 2 District (Niagara Falls) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) detectives. This is believed to have been a targeted incident.
