On Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 8:46pm, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Roehampton Avenue and Drury Crescent in the City of St Catharines regarding a vehicle theft.
Investigation revealed an adult female had just had her car stolen and that a male had pointed a knife at her and demanded her to hand over the keys to the vehicle. The male suspect and a female suspect standing nearby, then fled the area in the vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a:
- Grey 2012 Hyundi Elantra 4 door bearing an Ontario marker # DAJE458
The suspects were described as:
- Suspect 1
- Male
- 18-25 years old age
- Approximately 5 foot 10 inches
- Wearing a black coat, black backpack with a white design on it
Suspect 2
- Female
- 18-25 years of age
- Approximately 5 foot 5 inches
- Wearing a puffy black coat
1 District Detectives have taken carriage of the investigation.

Anyone who may have been in the area, or anyone with video surveillance or dash cam footage is also asked to contact detectives.
