On Wednesday, June 5 at approximately 5:05 a.m., 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Lakeshore Road and Four Mile Creek Road, in the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, for a serious single motor vehicle collision.
Officers, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department and Niagara Emergency Medical Services were at the scene and located an adult male suffering from life- threatening injuries.
Investigation revealed an adult male was operating a grey Audi westbound on Lakeshore Road when it collided with a tree that was to the right of the roadway. Tragically the driver was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit have taken charge of the investigation.
