On Thursday, March 6, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m. Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) uniform members assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to a commercial business in the area of Four Mile Creek Road and York Road in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake for a Suspicious Person call for service.
Once on scene, officers located a male in a balaclava acting suspiciously. Further investigation revealed the male was in possession of two large zip ties and an imitation firearm. As a result, the male was arrested.
Jamie Roversi (43 years) of Niagara Falls was charged with the following criminal offences:
- Attempt to Commit and Indictable Offence
- Disguise with Intent
- Possession of an Imitation Weapon
Roversi was held in custody and attended the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines on Friday, March 7, 2025 where he was remanded into custody.
The NRPS would like to thank members of the community for reporting the suspicious behaviour that lead to this arrest.
