Man suspected of about 25 break-ins in Flamborough and Niagara areas

Former fugitive, 29, faces slew of charges, Hamilton police say

Hamilton police have successfully arrested 29-year-old Quincy Owen Francis, a fugitive linked to a series of residential break-ins that took place between Saturday, April 6, 2024, and Friday, Aug. 2, 2024.

Quincy Owen Francis now faces multiple charges, including:

  • Six counts of break-and-enter
  • Five counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Proceeds of crime under $5,000
  • Two counts of vehicle theft

Investigations have revealed that Francis is suspected of entering approximately 25 homes across Stoney Creek, Ancaster, and Flamborough. Evidence collected during the investigation has also connected him to residential break-ins in the Niagara Region.

Hamilton Police Service has been working closely with the Niagara Regional Police Service on their investigations.

At the time of his arrest, Francis was also wanted in connection with an incident dating back to 2023.

The investigation remains ongoing and more charges are expected to be laid.
