Niagara Falls man faces raft of drug charges

Investigation into cross-Niagara trafficking began early in year, police say

In early 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and Street Crime Unit (SCU) commenced an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs throughout the Region of Niagara. 

During the investigation, detectives discovered that a male residing in Lincoln was distributing illegal drugs.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, detectives received judicial authorization to execute a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a residence in Lincoln.

As a result of the investigation, police seized the following:

  • 350 grams of suspected Fentanyl (value $33,000)
  • 1 kilogram of suspected crystal methamphetamine (value $15,000)
  • 253 grams of suspected cocaine (value $17,000)
  • 1250 tablets of suspected hydromorphone (value $1,250)
  • 30 tablets of suspected ketamine (value $300)
  • 27 tablets of suspected Percocet (value $270)
  • 500ml of suspected Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB) (value $300)
  • 18 grams of suspected psilocybin (value $100)
  • Loaded Taurus handgun with a high-capacity magazine
  • $2,255 in Canadian currency

Christopher Duclos, 40, of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of ketamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of gamma hydroxybutyrate for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of percocet for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm without holding a license
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license
  • Possession of a loaded regulated firearm
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited device
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order

Duclos was held in custody and is scheduled to attend the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines on Friday, March 14, 2025.
