Police, fire marshal investigate house fire in Niagara Falls

Police are investigating a house fire that took place Wednesday afternoon in Niagara Falls.

At around 4:10 p.m., Niagara Regional Police Service officers responded to the area of Willmott Street and Valley Way.

Police and the Niagara Falls Fire Department found the house to be fully engulfed, according to a police news release.

The fire department fought the blaze, which was in an older three-storey building, according to online postings.

Police made no mention of injuries associated with the fire.

The incident is being investigated by detectives with 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake), the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal, and the fire department.
