Police launch investigation in escalation of graffiti in Niagara Falls

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Community Oriented Response and Engagement (CORE) Unit was established with a focus on problem-oriented policing through District level community-oriented initiatives and enforcement to directly address community issues.

In response to community concerns related to recent escalation in graffiti throughout the City of Niagara Falls, the #2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara on the Lake) CORE unit has launched an investigation to stop further graffiti/tagging.

Collaborating with community partners and the public, the 2 District CORE Unit is appealing for any surveillance footage or information pertaining to any graffiti/tagging.  Members of the public are asked to report any incidents of graffiti/tagging online with photos of the vandalism using the link provided Online Reporting, when no suspect/surveillance video is available.  If a suspect is observed either by a witness or captured on video, call the Niagara Regional Police Service Non-Emergency line at 905-688-4111 to file a report.

Members of the 2 District CORE Unit are requesting that anyone with information to come forward by calling (905) 688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009370.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.  Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
