Police are hoping to identify suspects in a vehicle arson in St. Catharines on Tuesday.
Niagara Regional Police officers responded to the incident at around 5:30 a.m. in the area of Galbraith Street and Pelham Road.
Investigation revealed three suspects were in the driveway of a residence in the area at 5:19 am. All were dressed in dark clothing at the time of the incident.
The trio "approached a parked vehicle, smashed its window and then set the car on fire using an unknown substance," police said in a news release.
The suspects left the area on foot at 5:21 am.
1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) detectives have taken over of the investigation and are asking anyone who may have been in the area, anyone who may have dash cam/video surveillance, or anyone with any information to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009011.
