In January of 2024, 3 District (Welland / Pelham) Street Crime Unit detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) began an investigation into the illegal sale of drugs in the City of Port Colborne involving a male and female suspect.
As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the two suspects. On Jan. 25, 2024, at approximately 5:55 a.m., detectives executed a warrant at a residence in the area of King Street and Union Street, in the City of Port Colborne. Detectives were assisted by officers from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit.
As a result of the warrant, detectives located and seized three prescription pill bottles containing hydromorphone capsules.
- 59 capsules of K100 morphine (Hydromorphone)
- six capsules of 6 mg hydrocotin (Hydromorphone)
- 70 dilaudid 8 mg tablets (Hydromorphone)
The estimated street value of the hydromorphone is $2,700.
Mitchell Jarvis (35 years old) of Port Colborne was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking (three counts)
- possession of firearm, weapon or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- possession of proceeds/property obtained by crime under $5,000
- fail to comply with probation order
- fail to comply with release order
Madison Cooper (27 years old) of Port Colborne was arrested and charged with the following offence:
- possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking (three counts)
Hailey Dipasquale-Pringle (20 years old) of Port Colborne was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for trafficking (three counts)
- Fail to comply with release order
Jarvis, Cooper and Dipasquale-Pringle were held in custody pending a video bail hearing that is expected to take place on Jan. 25, 2024, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in the City of St. Catharines.
