Niagara 2022 Canada Summer games have announced its new running dates.
Athletes will face-off in the two-week event on August 6 - 21, 2022.
The dates are the same as originally intended for 2021, the board said in a statement.
The city of Thorold has pledged $5 million in support for the construction of the arena that is currently being built near Brock University, in exchange for community access to the facilities.
The decision has been the subject of fiery debate in city council.
