The Golden Horseshoe will look even more golden tonight after Niagara Falls announced it will be lighting up in recognition of Diwali, the festival of lights, which is commencing tonight.
Niagara Parks said the illumination in the color gold will be seen from 10:15 to 10:30 tonight, offering spectators a different view of the falls.
Diwali, a festival of south-east Asian origin is celebrated around mid-October to mid-November each year, and symbolizes spiritual victory over dark forces, such as evil, and ignorance.
