INTERCOUNTY BASEBALL LEAGUE

WELLAND – Brandon Underhill and Mike Mueller combined on a three-hit shutout in Welland’s 3-0 win over Guelph on Thursday.
Underhill (4-1) went the first 7.2 innings, walking one and striking out two. Mueller recorded the last four outs, three of which came via strikeout for his first save.
Steven Moretto, Jonah Weisner and Tyler Dupuis all drove in a run for the Jackfish (20-4).
Ryosuke Ohashi doubled for the Royals (12-9).
Rhys Montgomery (1-3) took the loss, allowing two runs on six hits over five innings. He walked one and struck out three.
