Detectives from the 1 District St. Catharines Criminal Investigative Branch continue to investigate the shooting incident that occurred in downtown St. Catharines on Sept. 29, 2019, that resulted in six persons being shot.
As previously reported in the last media release from Feb. 26, 2020, investigators have arrested one of the alleged shooters involved in this incident. The 33-year-old Richmond Hill Resident, Saeed Savalanpour, is presently charged with 34 Criminal Code offences and remains in custody.
Investigators have previously requested the community's assistance in identifying two other males believed to have taken part in this violent incident.
As a result of the public's assistance and continued investigative efforts, these two individuals have now been linked to a larger group of males who were present at the time of the shooting. As a result, photographs of these males are now being released and investigators are once again asking for the public's assistance. Anyone with information pertaining to these identities and/or have information regarding their involvement are urged to come forward to the police.
