Break-in at Grimsby concession building causes $6K in damages

The suspect pulled a metal signpost from the ground and used it to force open the rollup concession counter door at Southward Community Park

On Sunday, October 6, 2024 at approximately 8:10am, 8 District (Grimsby/West Lincoln/Lincoln) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended 84 Mud Street West in the town of Grimsby for a belated break and enter call.

Investigation revealed that on Saturday October 5, 2024, between 9:30pm and 10:15pm, an unknown male suspect broke into the concession building at the Southward Community Park.

The suspect pulled a metal signpost from the ground and used it to force open the rollup concession counter door. The suspect stole items including a cooler and food and caused approximately $6000 in damages.

The suspect is described as:

  • White
  • Male
  • Thin build
  • Wearing blue jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt/jacket with a symbol or reflective material on the back, and a baseball cap

The suspect was operating a red and black Honda ATV with a white Honda wing decal on the gas tank sides and three functional headlights.

8 District detectives (Grimsby/West Lincoln/Lincoln) have taken carriage of the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009023.
