April 9 update:
The deceased has been identified as Matthew Wilson, 40 years old of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
April 6 update:
On Monday, April 5, 2021 at approximately 7:18 a.m., 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) uniform officers and Emergency Medical Services attended the area of Lakeshore Road and McNab Road in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake in regards to an assist ambulance call.
Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased male on the side of the road. Further investigation revealed that the male was struck by a vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, officers have identified the driver of a Ford F150 that was travelling eastbound on Lakeshore Road when the pedestrian was struck by the passenger side of the vehicle.
The matter remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit.

Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased adult male on the side of the road at the location. Further investigation revealed that the male was struck by a vehicle.
Lakeshore Road, between Mcnab Road and Stewart Road, is expected to remain closed as the investigation remains on going by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
