His first big win came in June of this year, but it wasn’t until September that Casey discovered his good fortune.
“I received a follow-up email from OLG about claiming my prize, and at first, I was uncertain of its authenticity. I always thought that if I won big through my subscription, my winnings would automatically be deposited into my OLG.ca account,” Casey explained, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I logged into my account and was shocked to see that I had won more than $100,000 back in June!”
At the time Casey learned about his win, his wife was out of town. “I called her and apologized for waking her up in the middle of the night. When I shared the good news, she was so happy and excited for us,” Casey grinned.
“Today is our 10-year wedding anniversary. Before coming here, my wife told me the best present she could receive this year would be a cheque for $100,000,” Casey said with a big smile. “Winning has been an awesome experience and I hope to do it again.”
